Department of Architecture at the University of Fort hosts Regional Forum “The foundations for the future”
Hosted the Department of Architecture at the “University fortress”, the leading educational institution in the provision of quality education and outstanding and the Abu Dhabi-headquartered, today (Thursday February 11 2010) Forum on “the foundations for the future” (Foundations for the Future Forum) in a building private university students. The Forum was attended by representatives from major architectural firms, including the company “Bert Hill” (Burt Hill) and the “Atkins - Middle East and India” (Atkins - Middle East & India) and the “X - Arketekts” (X-Architects).
Participants discussed by academics, architects and specialists highlighted trends and issues and challenges facing the industry architecture. Forum also included discussion of many vital topics such as Ttoiralonctp relevant research in engineering work. The Forum highlighted the basic skills and educational standards and best professional practices to be followed by students seeking to work in the field of architecture.
Forum was opened with a welcoming address by HE Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahim soapy, director of the University of the fort, followed by a presentation by Dr. Naima Pennekari, chairman and assistant professor in the Department of Architecture at the University of the fort, dealing with the curriculum and highlighted the achievements of the section. Also provided Ivar Karasenski, President, “Bert Hill”, a detailed presentation, which reviewed the methodologies for the use of modern technology to upgrade the level of efficiency and performance. Focused discussion sessions, held under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Kashif Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture at the University of the fort, and Dr. Naima Pennekari about architectural trends prevailing in the Gulf region and the strategies followed for the preparation of educational and rehabilitation of the architects of the future, according to the highest international standards. The events of the Forum to announce the names of candidates for membership of the Advisory Board of the Department of Architecture at the University of the fort, where he gave Dr. Hamdi Sheibani, deputy director of Al Hosn University and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the word wrap.
On the main motivation for organizing the forum, said Dr. Pennekari: “caused many factors such as technological innovations and economic stagnation witnessed by the world at the moment to create a number of challenges and obstacles to the profession of architecture. In this sense, we need to unify the views on the regional level so that we can arrive at solutions that are appropriate and effective transfer of the next generation of architects. We are pleased with the participation of a group of prominent regional experts in the forum to exchange views and discuss pressing issues relevant to this area. We are confident that this event will contribute significantly to developing and establishing the theoretical foundations and the appropriate process for enhancement of the architecture in the Middle East. “
Al Hosn University, founded in 2005 under the slogan “comprehensive knowledge of the local vision.” The university offers 11 programs of higher education and 7 graduate programs within the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, College of Business Administration and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
