Dubai Metro has served 1,740,578 passengers in the initial month of operation since its maiden journey on 10 September up to 10 October 2009 across 10 stations on the Red Line, according to statistics compiled by RTA Rail Agency.

Mall of the Emirates Station topped the list in terms of the number of passengers lifted during the first month’s period totaling 322,718 passengers, followed by Khalid bin Al Waleed Station (244,081 passengers), Rashidiya Station (223,669 passengers), Al Ittihad Station (199,426 passengers), Nakheel Harbour & Tower Station (194,079 passengers), Deira City Center Station (172,299 passengers), Dubai Financial Center Station (132,871 passengers), Rigga Station (113,538 passengers), Jafliah Station (76,559 passengers), and Airport Terminal 3 Station (61,338 passengers).
