In coordination with the Emirates Dubai a competitive team for the development of business activities supervised field visits to the World Bank

a98Dubai: The Dubai Government team to develop the business under the chairmanship of the Economic Development Department recently in Dubai to oversee the order of field visits to a working group representing the World Bank headed by Dahlia Khalifa, Senior Advisor for Strategic Affairs in the draft of doing business, and a number of the international experts to meet with officials in relevant departments in the Emirate . This initiative comes within the framework of the Intergovernmental Panel’s efforts to contribute to the preparation of proposals on the areas to be improved to enhance the competitiveness of the State in the annual report of the Doing Business issued by the World Bank.

On this occasion, HE Sami Al Qamzi, Director General of the Department of Economic Development: “contribute to the efforts of the team here in Dubai to develop business with all the relevant departments of the Government of Dubai and in close cooperation with the Emirates competitive position in the promotion of the United Arab Emirates at the global level, This is reflected positively on the business development and improve the status of the State in the annual business report of the World Bank. “

The team visited the World Bank through its presence in the Emirate of Sharjah Economic Development Department, the Municipality of Dubai, Land Department, Dubai World, the General Administration of Civil Defense, Dubai, the Dubai Electricity and Water, Dubai Customs, Roads and Transport Authority, and the courts of Dubai, Department of Legal Affairs.

Has contributed to the Intergovernmental Panel of the emirate in the completion of the requirements of the report ‘Doing Business 2010′, issued by the IFC of the World Bank, and submitted through the United Arab Emirates 14 places to rank 33 economies included in the report, the 183 world economy.

Has been developed in coordination with the visits of His Excellency Abdullah Lootah, Secretary-General of the Emirates Competitiveness Council, and through the delegation included the President of Dubai’s business activities, Mr. Saeed Al Suwaidi, consultant at the Office of the Director of the Department of Economic Development, all of Mr. Najeeb Al Ali, director of strategy and policy, and Mr. Mohammed buff, assistant project manager in the Department of Competitiveness Council.
