Leading Indicators Rise Sharply – January 2006

The Conference Board’s Index of Leading Economic Indicators (LEI) rose sharply in January. Average initial claims and the money supply were the strongest contributors, but the report did have other bright spots. Are we approaching an unforeseen economic boom?
