Producer Prices Pushed Up By the Core in January

In January, a mixed bag of energy price moves left energy inflationary pressure on producers unchanged monthover- month. Food prices rose 0.2 percent, but more importantly, core producer prices rose by 0.4 percent – the swiftest pace since January 2005. Is headline inflation seeping through to the core?
